Good thing you didn't wish for Santa to land on your roof.  You'd have an angry fat man, a beat-up sleigh, venison for a month and a lot of reindeer pucky all in the middle of your living room under a huge hole in the roof.  THEN the snow would start coming in...

Last year my Ma outlaw came to stay, ended up getting ill on Christmas Eve being admitted into hospital for a week and got discharged back to us and we looked after her until February.

This year, all year I've been vowing to her it would be my turn to 'mess up her Christmas'...

Sho' nuff 23rd December I fell foul of the most awful gastric bug I've ever known and have been drifting between visits from the demons and semi-consciousness whilst having to quickly navigate to the bathroom every 10 minutes or so before some ejection from one end or the other would have ruined the furniture...

That'll teach me to tease the old dear in future.  I'm convinced now she has access to spells and magick.

She ended up getting banished to her room, for the purposes of isolation and she's been waited on hand and foot with 24 hour TV access.  She's as happy as a pig in paradise having a wail of a time...

Meantime, I forecast I may actually be able to walk upright again today.

So yeah good topic...

The Maillard Reaction

The front crossed over us at 3 a.m. with a torrential downpour of rain.

No snow but we are looking forward to cold clear skies and lots of sunshine at around noon today!!!

best regards,
mike

And then you'd have to explain it to the insurance adjuster--if you have that coverage.

Sorry for you illness Jonbouy.  I had had something like it a few years ago.  It wasn't fun or pretty.  I hope your recovery continues.

Yes JB, hope you're feeling better......at least enough to get ready for the New Year's shindig as after you may need some more time to recover from that roight?

No snow for us in Orlando, but did spend Christmas day in shorts and a T-shirt with the doors/windows open. First time we've experienced a summer Christmas.

Well this mornin we still have power, tho some around here don't due to trees falling on lines and such.  8 or so inches of snow!!  All our shrubs and trees are bent to the ground and we did lose some branches and such but pretty much OK.  Our little cul de sac (and our entire neighborhood for that matter) is covered in white and ready for the kids to come out and build snowmen and throw snowballs.  Looks like my Xmas vacation just got longer.  Whoo Hoo!

Hey Spacey...whats it like up in the northern part of our fair state??

well.... I was kinda wishing the world had ended last week..... it didn't ...to my knowledge, so I guess with a track record like that, I'm safe wishing for other things like zombie apocalypses and such events...

Maybe I should wish for what I don't want..... you know... a little reverse psychology.....

then I might get what I really want.
