Doug Ingle was our drummer (because we already had a killer keyboardist).  Not the same guy though, but his son

Doug Ingle 2.0?

Pffft. I played with Burleigh Drummond 1.0.

Who's that?  Does HE have an Alembic too or is he a nobody?

Dats da guy. I played with him for about two weeks 40+ years ago (when he was still in UCLA). He was a neighbor of my guitar player. We lived in the West Los Angeles area then. Now he still lives a 10 mile radius of me.

Hi,

While not a great band, for my tastes, there is a lot to appreciate here, as they became known for the long meandering cut that helped folks in Europe take up the "psychedelic" thing and turn it into "progressive" ... mostly because of the musical influences which were better known and considered "better music", than the blues, rock thing that America took up with, which to my ears is much more original ... and just as creative as everything else.

I will always have a spot in my heart for things like this ... still like them!

Pfft. I bought Joe Frank's (Joe Frank Carollo) guitar from his daughter and I've met Bob Burns many times (he is so burned out he never remembers that he met you before... his step daughter lived with us for about 6mos so we had interaction with them) they are sort of a southern rock version of The Osbornes. Neither had an Alembic though... I've never played with any famous people, HOWEVER... I will one day be famous and they will all be sorry.

Yes...RIP Lee. Personally, I always liked Iron Butterfly. They had an original style that I liked during the 60's along with that distinctive raw sound of analog recording. Heavy and In A Gada De Vida and we're my favs. I'm still lucky enough to be above the dirt after surviving the 60's post my military picnic. Have a safe Holiday everyone. Carry on....
