The very nice people at Crysonic sent me the updated 64bit versions of their plug-ins.
 
After unzipping everything, I opened the folder that's entitled PLEASEINSTALL_FIRST, opened the 64bit folder inside that, and clicked on this:

I would hazard a guess that it's OK to proceed, since your newer version of the Visual C++ Redistributable should be compatible. It's telling you that you already have 2010 C++ installed (it probably got updated with a Windows Update at some point). 

I don't have any experience with Visual C++, but did you try the "See Microsoft Visual Studio" link?  

That is a redistributable program. If you did not have it, you would need to install it to install the main program you want to install. Since you already have a newer version of it on your computer but that program is looking for a specific version and they should not have programmed it that way, but since they have, you can either look up at Microsoft what it asks for by going to the Microsoft Visual Studio website like it states in the bottom or just go to Microsoft and "Search" for The Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable Setup program to install. Computer games are the same way: One game might have used the 2005 Redistributable Package (which may be included with the game since those are smaller) while the next one uses the 2008 Redistributable Package program. Both are installed on the computer and both are needed because the game software (with two of those with different needs) need those to work. Just do a Search at Microsoft or click the link down at the bottom of the page for the Microsoft Visual Studio website, find the Redistributable program and install it.

Ah, another thing to note is that most computer games would include on the DVD the Redistributable Package that is needed for the computer game and install it off of the DVD (because it can be redistributed). But if you do not have a DVD and downloaded the program from the Internet, perhaps they did not include it (but to me they should have) so you will have to go to the Microsoft website, find it, and install it first then proceed with the rest of what you wanted to install. They state you can find the Redistributable Program at the Microsoft Visual Studio part of their big, big, big website so look for it there or do a search for it.

The end result is that different years of different versions for the same program are needed, because - Microsoft did not program the next version (2010 vs. 2008 version) the same way as the old program so they are not compatible with one another and both have to be installed to make perhaps two different other programs work correctly on the computer and both versions would have to be installed. Babbled enough, I think you get the idea.

I would still say it's OK to proceed, because what this plug evidently requires is the 2010 redistributable. And you have that, just a "newer version." As far as I know, the different years may not be compatible with each other (i.e. if the program requires 2005 and you have 2010, you're still going to have to install 2005), but updated versions of the same year should be backward compatible. 

If this is so, then really the dialog boxes should say this in their message ("A newer version of 2010 has been detected. You do not need to install this version"). And the software that requires the redistributable should also contain instructions on what to do if you get this message. But alas, instructions are often woefully inadequate....

I'm not sure you can update from 32bit to 64bit ... by just changing some files in any program. I would imagine that a fresh, clean install would be necessary!

In view of what you've said, I've gone ahead and scanned the .dll's into X2 and they are working fine in demo mode (still awaiting the authorisation codes from Crysonic).

I bought the 32bit versions of these VST plug-ins a years or so back.
 
I happened to notice that they now do most of these VSTs in 64bit. Since I now only use 64bit SONAR X2 (and I don't like using Bitbridge), I emailed Crysonic and asked them for the 64bit versions of the plugs I'd already bought. Before I downloaded the new versions, I removed the 32bit versions in my Plugin Manager, and also removed the folder they were in from SONAR's VST scan.
 
So as far as I can tell, I'm only dealing with the 64bit versions now.
