Sorry, late to the game, but you can ignore the error and install the main software.
Basically, they have no idea if you have the ability to install their program (which requires something to already be present on your computer first) so they have you run a package to install that first. In this case, it failed because you already have a newer version installed. The bottom line is that you should be good to go.
