These sound like excellent productions judging by the short samples. Any chance of hearing a full track?

Yes, I'll upload something later today. Most of the tunes are covers, so I can't share any of those, but two of them are original compositions. I'll share one of those.

fusion baby!

I'm left speechless.

Is that sax a keyboard or the real deal?

just as I pine for a guitar solo you bring it at 2:20.

You are the man.

is this just you or do you have an ensemble?

Peace

It's my quartet, Jazz Martyrs (http://www.jazzmartyrs.com/Home/About). Real sax.

Thank you very much for the kind words!

If you only knew how long this took!

I originally started this band back in 2011. In the time since then, I went through 6 guitarists, 5 bassists, and 2 keyboardists. I've always said that the hardest thing about being a musician is that you have to work with musicians.

I'm very happy with this lineup of guys though, and I'm hoping to use the CD to try and book gigs.

Also, recording with Sonar was great, and the help that people in this forum provided me was invaluable. I have a background as a recording engineer, but that was a long time ago when the state of the art was 2" tape and it was on a MCI/Sony desk. Working with software is so powerful and risk free that it's easy to become paralyzed by too many options, but man oh man, what a luxury!
