I will still use Sonar but obviously the wheels were falling off along time ago and the wheels will totally come off. Studio One is relatively new so I am sure it will have some longevity. If not maybe Logic Pro is the way to go. Maybe someone from Cake will make a New Daw.

Weird ... you haven't abandoned Mozart, or Beethoven, or, Shakespeare.
 
Not to say that Sonar and Cakewalk amounted to anything of that stature, but in the end, we all go ... and what is left? Simply ashes and memories ... no more "life" .... so stop yoer crying and go have a beer and drink to the king's health ... while he had it, because there certainly isn't any health now to show for it!
 
After that ... life goes on, and the child leaves home ...

Let me count the reasons:
1. I'm a performer, and have regular gigs.  Right now there are 400 songs in my repertoire to choose from, many of them still needing some tweaks and improvements; and some aren't quite ready for prime time.
2. I have a gig this weekend.
3. It will take WEEKS, if not a few months, to migrate all my work over to a new DAW.
4. I have to learn a new DAW well enough to do #3.
5. I have to do #4 and #3 in order to play my next gig.
6. I have a gig this weekend.
 
Any more questions?

Because no other DAW comes close.
