My 240s don't bother me and I have two pair of phones for metal detecting. Sun Ray Gold and Grey Ghost, neither bother me with my glasses... I am thinking about getting lasix surgery now that it has improved so that it will fix most anything and no halos anymore. Life without glasses... wow. To me the worst part of wearing glasses is when it is hot and sweat drips on them... I HATE that. The legs on mine have become part of my head I think. There is a groove on my head where they fit. That may be why the cans don't bother me.
When it is hot and I am detecting, many times I use cheap-o "on ear" phones... and I'm thinking that if you aren't mixing some little Radio Shack phones that sit on your ear might work OK... IMO. For 10 or 15 bucks it would be worth a try, then use the cans when critical. Maybe?

lasik is not really an option for me anyway.  99% of my fuzzy vision is due to astigmatism, not true nearsightedness.  my nearsightedness is only 20/60 or 20/70 - lasik doesn't always correct past that anyway.  but the astigmatism makes it difficult ot see without glasses.

greg - that might work, I might try that!

Yeah, I have this problem now that I need glasses for short distance.  And yes, the headphones are a pain.  I got a new pair that works for longer cause they fit closer to my head...but they don't last that much longer.  I hope someone comes up with something.  Maybe it's good that I can't spend hours at my DAW anymore...

Reece, as you know, I only wear my glasses when I am awake.
I've started slipping a piece of paper under the earpiece. It has to be relatively stiff, ie notebook paper, not tissue. It acts like a snowshoe, and keeps the earpiece from digging into the thin muscles in front of my ears. This eliminates the focused pressure point that causes the pain.
I'm sure it looks dumb, but I'm the only one here, and I can't see it. And it's way more comfortable.

I've got a pair of old Sennheisers that feel great and I can wear them for hours (with my glasses on).  In general, I've been pretty happy with Sennheiser closed back models for comfort and quality.  (Not a paid endorsement, unfortunately)
