Little gems like this used to pop up out of the blue..I don't see Dream Theater or Porcupine Tree doing anything like this;

Run With the Fox

People still do 'em but, with today's idiotic politically correct attitudes, nobody wants to hear 'em.

"I'm dreaming of a white, yet racially neutral, Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice/Mid-December..."

Wasn't that originally written by Guy Chapman before they had to change his name to 'Person Personperson' because his real name came across as sexist?

I still have a Christmas collection that I roll out. Phil Spectors' Christmas album, the Beatles BBC Christmas stuff, assorted Christmas tunes on the Very Merry Christmas series that started in the 80's. Of course I always play a little Elvis and Bing Crosby just to balance it all out.

I've no desire to hear a Christmas album from Chris Brown or any hip hop band. No sir, I just can't go there.

Elvis Presley's Christmas album is still one of my all time favorite albums (not just in the Christmas stuff category, but all around). And that opening cut, Santa Claus is Back in Town - man...

Back in Quebec, making Christmas album is still an easy way to get attention and make a profit - which is often looked down upon by some, including yours truly. Nevertheless, a bunch of friends released their own Christmas single this year, and I think it rocks.

I just heard one..it's horrible, mean spirited, self-obsessed, and as per the normal these days, it's about an imaginary failed relationship, and contains a gratutious 'F' word or two.

Doesn't anyone know how to write cheerful, uplifting, fun songs anymore?

Compare the above to this;
