The captain has already jumped of the boat or should I say been pushed off. We are still on the boat wondering if the captain will help us. The captain is already sailing on another boat and the crew are scattered. Some are here still sailing on the same old boat wondering where the boat is going.
Using that analogy, as long as the boat is not sinking, which is not atm, I see no risk in drifting along for a while.
Not sure why there is this drama about it as if our lives depends on getting a new DAW right NOW!! . So if Cakewalk stops working in a week, so what? I assume anyone with half a brain has taken every possible step to try to save what can be saved from the work they have unfinished. Jumping to another DAW is not one of them though, at least not for me. I have saved what I have finished to audio. I have the scores for the finished and unfished stuff. So if cake goes tits up and I am forced somewhere else I can do that. But I do not want to, and see no reason to do so, unless we get some updates saying otherwise.
