Rondo exclusively imports and sells Agile, SX, and Douglas. They are Chinese but Chinese guitars have improved a LOT over the last few years. They started out as junk but they listened and improved the parts and the finish and not they really are pretty nice and if you don't mind supporting slave labor... they are a great deal. The Agile brand really got going among the guitardiner.com forum users over time and I don't think I have ever heard anyone really complain about an Agile, most get a rave review. I have two SX. An LP Jr knockoff with P-90s and a Telefaker. The P-90s need potting but I think they have fixed that, I've had mine for over 5 years. The telefaker is as good as any standard Fedner tele for 100 bucks, the Douglas is a SG knockoff in pink that I bought for my daughter... who HAD to have it then never learned to pay it. My other daughter records, was a DnB DJ in the 90s and actually had a vinyl record produced. It is still on the internets somewhere, it is Goldmember by brok or b:rok or Becky... if you like Dnb... but once again, more than you needed to know. However, I would not hesitate to recommend Agile to anyone. I would expect that plaintop to standup well against a Gibson LP Classic or Standard, not a CS RI though. I would expect to change the pickups, I usually do that even on a Gibby. I put Classic PAFs in the Studio I gave Becky. It had a PAF PRO in the neck with a coiltap and a JB in the bridge. I am planning to put the JB in the bridge of the Classic I kept. I may replace the neck pup with the PAF PRO too... it was too dark and muddy in the Studio, it having no maple cap. The Classic, with the maple cap should make it sound better... and this Agile has a 3/4" Canadian maple cap!
