Hope your back snaps out of it soon. Hah!

Seriously though ... I hope you feel better quick.

When I was 13 or so, I was doin' a pop-a-wheelie off a section of the sidewalk that a giant Oak Tree root had pushed up in to a nice 8" ramp.

It was summer, hands were sweaty, they slipped off the handlebars, and I landed directly on my tailbone on the concrete.

Haven't been able to walk straight up since and as I'm getting older, it hurts constantly to the point where I let out a loud moan when I stand up. When every move you make hurts, you have a tendency to not exercise, then you put on weight, it hurts more, and it's a viscous cycle.

When it happened, I couldn't walk for 2 weeks, but you know how it is when you're a kid. The parents yelled at me for falling and told me to walk it off. Same thing when I broke my big toe running up the front porch steps one time. Never took me to get it set. It hurts like a son of a **tch sometimes now and it veers off to the left. Good thing it's on my left foot.

You have my full sympathy Beepster. It's surprising how many people have stuff going on that stops them from leading a normal life. Oftentimes you don't even know about it to look at them. Because I had skin cancer a few years ago I can never enjoy sunny weather again, ever. I either have to stay indoors or cover myself up so much it's hardly worth being outside. And I'm allergic to sunscreens. It kills me to know I'll never enjoy such a fundamental human pleasure as sunny weather but you just get on with it, right? I also have quite bad tinnitus, worse in my left ear than my right. It means I can never quite relax, and I always feel on edge in quiet situations. Gets me down sometimes to know I will never be rid of it but again, we flit forwards! Besides, people who have no problems are invariably boring :)

Sorry. Had to lay down for a bit. Thanks for the well wishes, guys. I deal with this all the time but I had been doing better the past few months so I guess I forgot how easily I torque out. I gobbled one of my muscle relaxer which I rarely do  (hate them) and flopped out on an ice pack for a while then took a hot shower. Little looser now. Hope it's enough to get back to business tomorrow.

@bub... That hurts, man. When I was a kid I hurled myself from the top of a snow mountain the plows had made in the schoolyard and landed right on my tailbone onto a piece jagged ice. KEERUNCH! Took about twenty years for it to stop causing problems. It felt like a little chunk of bone was flopping around in there and it would pop back off if I fell on my ass wrong. It's all better now though. I just got all this other crap messing with me. Have you ever considered taking up swimming? That's probably the best way to get some exercise without exacerbating old injuries. I wish I could get out to a pool. If I could do that consistently for a few years I think I could get myself upright again. Alas it is not possible at the moment. Cheers.

@sharke... Beating cancer is HUGE and I guess that explains your penchant for health stuff. Fortunately I have not been bitten by the C word yet. Seen a lot of buddies go through it though and I certainly hope I can avoid that one. I should probably quit smoking though if I intend to but I'm more likely to drop from heart problems than that. And yeah... damn these fragile bodies. IDK... I see how messed up everyone around me is physically and can't help but think that our species just isn't as hearty as it used to be. But then again people in the old days may have been tough as hell but keeled over before they hit their fifties. Not sure what would have happened to me back then. Probably would have been set adrift on an ice flow or left in the woods or some crap. At least I live in an age where a person can use their mind to be productive in society... just still working out the details of how to actually accomplish that. lol. Cheers.

Cheers, Old. It's all good. Just bad timing. I want to get back to making music but this other crap has to happen first. When it's done things (in theory) should be a lot easier. I'm quite excited. ;-)

Ha. I've known a lot of dudes like that. Fortunately I learned my lesson from the snowhill leap when I was 6. I've still done a lot of stupid crap but mocking gravity stopped that day. Another thing I learned at that school was that licking steel fence posts in -30C weather isn't exactly wise. Also soap tastes really really bad which was taught to me by the hardcore Catholic principal upon learning I had used cusswords on schoolground. ;-)
