You know my wife came this close to singing for them when Tarja left? And I'm one of the very few lucky souls to have heard the recordings of the audition. ;)
 
 

Wow Rain.....that would've been really something!!! You wife must have a one heck of a voice cos that Tarja is fantastic. I'm totally getting into Nightwish (after listening to that video).

One of the highlights of my awkward teenage years was meeting Doro Pesch and having her sign my totally metal denim jacket. Pretty sure they were supporting Helloween. Anyway she was hhhhhot!

I like to look at the before and after pics of how well they have aged ..It keeps my sanity in check

Prog used to be the exclusive domain of hairy blokes but the current wave has a lot of great female vocalists.
