I know this will not be the cup of tea of a lot of people here....but just wanted to share this for fans of electro and crazy beats.

This is what I would call a fantastic example of techno creativity. I hear elements of Zappa here (Burnt Weeny Sandwich vibe) and maybe Emerson Lake and Palmer...mashed up with some insane beats, crazy polyrhythms and general all round chaotic excellence. I love Lindstrom, he's one of the best out there.

The Maillard Reaction

I keep hearing an older boy saying something like "number nine, number nine..."

I had to check it out, because to my mind "creative" and "EDM" in the same sentence is like a double-negative; one cancels the other. Get too musically creative and the purists will say it doesn't qualify as EDM. But yeh, there's some creativity at work there. I actually listened all the way through.

That I listened to it all the way through, is a real credit to the track! I heard it on an EDM radio channel on Spotify while I was in the gym. Techno gets me going when I'm working out but it has to be said that I usually skip to the next track after a couple of minutes because I get tired of the repetition and want something new. This one, however, kept me listening through all 8 minutes. In fact whenever I'm listening to that station and something really grabs my attention, it's usually Lindstrom.
