I didn't NEED one, I have a single channel looper (digitech), but for $12 I was gonna snag that one!

I just got an email that my order was cancelled.

It was fun while it lasted.

I think you'll find The Bouy canceled the orders once he noticed the bouytax evasion.

I will be emailing those responsible for any costs I may have incurred of course.

Just by having to check, you must have incurred massively high costs, probably at least $175 per second.

Your time is worth $630,000 per hour, roight?

You'll need to open an account if you want me to answer that particular question.

But don't worry it's free and very easy to open one.  Of course there are fees for cancellation should you change your mind but mostly people can't afford to cancel choose to continue.

I once bought a pair of EV Bass bins from a Scottish music dealer online at what must have been a 'mistake' price. List was something like £800 the pair, realistic prices around £700 although one place had them for £680, this Scottish based dealer had them on their website for £450 including delivery.

I snapped them up, a couple of days later I told a mate about them, when he went to buy them they were at £700. I think someone there must have made a bit of a cock up. I'm just guessing though, they sent them and all I paid was £450.

I would at least email them. I had a similar situation with another company where they had listed the boxed version of a Toontrack EZX for the download price and they tried to cancel on me (Actually they first tried to get me to pay more but then wanted to cancel the order). I replied that I thought it was not very good business to cancel a purchase after it had been made regardless of the mistake and future business may depend upon their response. They honored the original price and I have continued to do business with them.

While I understand that this was a huge mistake on their part and someone really screwed up on their end, there is something in me that says once an order has been placed they should honor it. It is only good business practice. While I would not throw a fit or anything of the like I would at least see what they say.

My take on it;

If they really were clearing out some at $12.00 I wanted to get a chance at it.

If it was a mistake and it was going to impact their business in an unexpected way than I don't want to aggravate the issue.

I don't, personally, feel there is a valid point of contention regarding the fact that it was published as a price, processed as a payment etc. It was evidently a mistake and now it has been cleared up.

best regards,
mike

Understandable Mike. I just find it interesting to see how some companies handle these things from time to time when they crop up. Not something I would ever try to be a jerk about as someone there is in hot water over this for sure. In the situation I mentioned the price difference was not nearly as much and I honestly wasn't upset, just wanted to see how they would handle it.

Have a great Thanksgiving BTW!
