Some may relate...

Even though Fireball may not be considered the "best" from them, I
think it's mine partly because of where I was at in life at the time it came out.

I believe that holds true for most all of my favorite music. It can go much deeper
than just music. When it does, anything "different" just takes away from it.
Combined with missing a major personality...and now two....it's just a different DP.

It's just wrong when rockers try to show they have "class" and hire an orchestra to back them..... and a kids choir......

It makes me want to bang my head for all the wrong reasons.

Ya, that kids choir on The Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want was a total disaster, roight?

Listening to that on the radio for the first time made me go out and buy Let it Bleed

DP is a tad bit before my time. I do remember the songs on MTV from the Perfect Strangers album and thinking those old cats are the real deal for sure. I think I also remember that singer with Black Sabbath for a while?
Just so you know Michael, I've found Blu-ray playback on a PC to rely on many factors. I have a blu-ray burner and Cyberlink PDVD, my system meets all the requirements to playback blu-rays but I have to encode it on my HD first because my monitor, IZ3D, is not supported by the blu-ray security check.

Loved the Purps when was growing up. My sister had 'In Rock' when I was 11, I thought it was the most incredible noise.

Friend of mine at school had the earlier stuff 'Book Of Taliesyn' and 'Shades Of', didn't like that so much, but 'Fireball' was hardly off my turntable when it came out.

They lost me at 'Burn', didn't sound like the same band.

Thanks Grant. I thought I might get a heads up if I mentioned it.
I'm still reading and seems there are a few internal ones with no hassles..plug and play.
(been told that before ...guess they didn't know me)

James they had me starting with Taliesyn...still have my original...not only the guitar but
man, Rod Evans amazed me. I could never sing but he inclined me to believe that that is
how it's done. He later reassured with Captain Beyond.

Just nothing on Fireball missing. It would be the first one on my "island list".

Well I guess I'll have to check out the Bad Company live at Wembley that is blu-ray...and
has another vocalist I put in the top 5..he got there with me in Free.

Guess I'm gonna have to unpack my sound system for the big screen...my wife doesn't
like all the equipment so that's a big if. I may have to put a big screen in my shop.
A black Friday cheapy would be alright....maybe....I love her so I go along with her unless
her gears are slipping.

If you pick out a high-pitched 'whooping' between songs, that'd be my daughter, she was well into it!

Don't know about an entire orchestra, but I definitely remember sneaking onto the organ at my parent's church down in San Diego (which, at the time, was the largest pipe organ on the west coast down) and playing Smoke On the Water with the foot pedals.  I stopped because I was afraid I was going to break things!  Hehe...
