We were playing a job and he was going on before us for an hour ...so he called and asked me if he could use our gear for his piano player and our sound system...he has a piano player and a cd he used for karaoke   

Met him and chatted with him and this keyboard guy he drags with him for about 30 minutes before he goes on ... Italian guy ..accent and everything 


Then as Bobby was performing with our gear ....me and the singer from my band laughed at him and made fun if him playing his brothers songs for a living 


Then my group went and did 3 hours of Motown and disco ....


As I am guessing bobby talked about us ...making a living at playing Motown and disco

I once opened for Bo Diddley.

He showed up mid day for load in and asked us where an auto parts store was.

He came back a few minutes later with a fresh water pump and installed it in his pick up truck in the parking lot while we tried to help.

The guitarist I played with in California was hired to back up Chuck Berry while he was in the Lompoc FCU.
He said Chuck was very Miles Davis-like in attitude.

You could probably get the REAL David van Day for the price of a turkey dinner.
 
You could then amaze your guests while they try to figure out who he is.
