Hi,

Expensive as heck ... but looks promising ...

I actually think it would be a great idea, but some purists think that the "digital" reading of analog material is going to kill the music and the LP even further.  I have dreams of Neil Young smashing one of these on stage because it makes his guitar go flat!

I would have bought one, but Stanton had a much better turntable, that fit my budget considerably better!

And I doubt that those Beatles will sound better! ... it's an illusion ... for the new generation.

Oh well, at least we had some damn good "cans" in those days! And some of that Sunshine was really good ... most folks here never even had that good a trip ... with sex (even better!) or without sex!

WOW..!

Well, with the accessories it's still less than a Harley LOL.

And the LPs are suppose to arrive today. Isn't that something...LPs and
nothing to listen to them on.
I sure hope I manage to get a nice system together before I expire so my
grand-daughter can experience them as they were intended.

LOL I had a great laugh Bub..." I wish I never saw this".....I have some time
before I go to the dentist so I'll tell ya why...
Years ago a neighbor/friend came by with a guy new to the neighborhood and
introduced us....the new guy went home and "Phil", my friend, said, "watch him Mike, he's
a nice guy but he's crazy"....
I would have wondered why "Phil" would bring a crazy for me to meet.....but I knew Phil LOL.

That was quite a neighborhood full of many very funny neighbors.
A guy across the street was taken to the hospital at least every month...he reloaded ammunition
and apparently didn't have it down. He gave the "crazy" a fiberglass boat....with a hole in it...we
learned that he could swim at least half-way across a lake. He moved after that. I believe he thought
it was a message ?

We had a band practice at my house one day and the police dropped by a few times to tell us that
neighbors called about the noise...asked us to turn down and left...we turned up and all the neighbors
blocked off the street and had a street party....!! it was great! Cooking and dancing and later we noticed
that by the interstate, I-40, about 100 yards behind my house- there were cars lining the highway and
people were out having like picnics enjoying the music!
Those were some crazy times...our first house, just married and a very cool neighborhood.

I'm glad you saw it Bub...thank you.

My record for a field party is 30 seconds.

It turned out my bass cabinets could be heard quite clearly 2 miles away... but a officer was much closer than that when the band kicked in and so it seemed like he just appeared out of no where right when the first set started.

We came to a gentlemen's agreement and he came back 4 hours later and I pulled the plug at his request. :-)

Good times.

I listened to the samples on their web site and watched the video and what I heard was amazing.

I've seen turntables sell for $90,000 dollars, so I really don't feel their asking price is really that far out of line relatively speaking. :-)

In Santa Barbara, we joked that "lids" was the second hand dope that was already spiked with crap on it. The original "can" was bigger than a "lid".

Well that's quite the coinkidink. The LP's are showing up today, and I post this. heh.

Those are some good stories Spacey.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. I was in a country band and every year we'd have a get together for the whole block at the drummers house with free food and drink. We practiced in his garage and made a lot of noise and it was our way of saying thanks for putting up with us. :)

Mike, you're a borderline mad/evil genius. Can't you put together some kind of a do it yourself kit for one of these LASER LP readers? :-)
