I went to the hair cutting place this week and got a haircut with no guard on the clipper. It is SHORT. I have a bald spot on the top rear and not much on the rest of the top. I buzzed all the area that is almost bald with my Braun electric. I am going to shave the rest of it, well all of it, with a Schick blade razor and some soap or shaving oil. I've never done this before and if anyone has any tips I am all ears (at least for now... I hope to keep my ears). I need tips on shaving my head and on lotion or whatever so I don't have dry skin. Maybe I should give it a buff shine when I get all the hair off.
I wonder if an epilator would be better than a shave??? or wax??

I already like it better, I think it makes me look better, but that is relative, heh.

So... any advice... thanks!!

A cap with straps?

A cowboy hat with a draw-string?

A nice tatoo?   maybe holes so it looks like a bowling ball?

Glow in the dark paint?

Advice?.....easy with the sun maybe.

Mach five razors and good thick shaving cream with Aloe. Try doing it in the shower so it opens up the pores better. Then slap some non stinky after shave on it (or just rubbing alcohol) and moisturize with pure aloe gel and liquid vitamin E (both available at health food store and some pharmacies). Avoid any moisturizers that have mineral oil in the ingredients. That shiz is nasty.

I'm not bald (well I am sloooowly losing some hair) but I used to carve all sort of dumb stuff into my fur.

lol, spacey.

Oh yeah... you'll definitely want a hat or some high powered sun screen for sunny days. Especially if you have a fair complexion.

I went totally baldie about 4 years ago.  Funny thing is...I still have hair (mostly) but I just wanted to both try the look and freak out my wife.  Only she didn't freak...nor did anyone else...including me.  I like it and so, apparently, does most everyone else of my acquaintence.  Anywhoo...I first just used a good electric razor two or three times a week and that's a viable solution.  But now I just shave with a razor (Shick Hydro) and very good quality gel.  It's really easy peasy and, all things considered, low maintainence.  I face shave daily with the electric and razor shave my beard on the days I shave my ol headbone.  I betcha like the new look Julien.  And women, no foolin, find it sexy.  Go figure.

Yeah... that surprised me. I even think I look better. I asked a friend who went queball a while back He told me to get a Fusion 4 blade razor and the Fusion gel. I tried running my Braun electric over the top where not much was growing anyway but it left enough to feel like some kind of dry skin or something. I want it smooth and polished. I'll probably have to shave it every day so I wont be rubbing it all the time. My wife REALLY likes it! I should have done this several years ago.
What spurred me to do it was going out and seeing other guys in my age range with a little too much hair in the back and thinking, "do I look like that"?

Thanks for the help Pal and everyone else.

Thinking of a bomber cap... my neck is already cold.

Beepster... I have some aloe gel, we keep it around for burns or sunburns. I hadn't thought about that. I have some "Gloves in a Bottle" lotion that leaves no greasy or any sort of residue. I always kept it around to use in the pest control work in case I was using a chemical I didn't want on me. It will keep stuff out but let stuff out, if that makes sense. IT is like a moisturizing barrier, really good stuff. You cannot tell it is there unless you get your hands wet, then you feel sort of slimy because it is keeping the water out. It is this stuff: http://www.glovesinabottle.com/

I forgot to say... if you have dry scalp... this stuff is GREAT. You can rub it into your scalp and hair until it dries and it has no affect on your hair at all but the dry scalp is gone. Amazing stuff.

I had that look for a few months.... also known as Marine Corps Boot camp basic training.....

I didn't like it .... no sir not one bit..... and the haircuts were horrible too.

I got out though and joined a band and grew that hair back....
