Does this stuff affect guitar tone?

If so I'll have a few bottles. Sod the hands I'll squirt it all over the fretboard.

It's my impression that hand lotions will soften callouses.

I'd try to keep it off the tone pads if I were to use any of that stuff.

This may be another bit of snake oil but I have heard that acidity can act as an anti-bacterial agent. Hypocrates drank Apple cider vinegar and swore by it. Still in use today.

I drink it fairly regularly for my health and whatever you drink comes through your skin pores so don't let me handle your nice guitars.

If the acidity acts as an anti-bacterial on your hands then taking that away could get you sick...or I could be full of poo.Just some things stirring around in my grey matter may or may not be factual.

 Lifted from Wikapedia-

"Vinegar, throughout history, has been reputed to have strong antibacterial properties. One test by Good Housekeeping's microbiologist found that 5% vinegar is 90% effective against mold and 99.9% effective against bacteria,[49] while a study showed that vinegar is less effective than Clorox and Lysol against poliovirus.[50]"

There was also Hypo-crates a rather large water  animal that could get spooked and might charge you...or was that a hippopotamus?

Thanks ProjectM. :)

An old wives tale I've always heard was, if you drink a tablespoon of Vinegar a day, it will take an inch of fat off your waste in a years time.

Don't know if it's true or not ...

There's a whole 'nother school of thought that thinks that vinegar and acidic foods are a leading cause of degenerative age disease.

This is but one example:
