Anyone got any ideas why my Google Chrome browser has quit playing sounds?  I can't listen to Soundcloud, YouTube, or sounds in general anymore, and I can't find a setting for sounds in Chrome.

I use Chrome when I need to listen to someone's mp3 since my IE9 sometimes wants me SAVE it instead of just listening to it.

*sheesh*

IE shouldn't make you want to save it unless it's a download and shouldn't behave differently than Chrome for listening to streaming media.

Chrome might have quit if something else has a lock on your soundcard, another browser open? I also have problems with sounds and video in FF V5 if I update the flash version so that may be relevant within Chrome too.

Apparently this a CHROME issue-  If you have your Windows Speakers set to QUADRAPHONIC, Chrome quits playing sound.  This was a bug in a previous version.

If you set the Speakers to STEREO, the problem goes away.

I guess Google is working on it.
