I've never ended up in a place like that until like 3am, after I've puked my guts up out in the parking lot to make room for some breakfast.

This reeks of love affair gone bad and now there's some revenge involved.

 Pretty sad. Unfortunately this kind of thing  happens at all levels and places.Makes me wonder why she chose to hang around as long as she did...just sayin'.

 

She has stated that she was a single parent and that she endured the situation until her child graduated from high school and entered college on a scholarship.

 I remember when you were claiming that your last boss was asking you to do stuff above and beyond your job description... aren't you glad that we didn't jump to the assumption that your half of the story was the result of a lovers quarrel?

That's what makes me think it was an affair that went bad. 9 years is a long time for something like that to go on against your will. Not saying it's not possible, but I couldn't personally imagine allowing abuse on that scale to continue to happen to me for that long. It's horrible if it's true.

After reading your reply, it's bringing all those horrible memories back to me. All my life, I have never been in a situation like that. I did try to get out, but there was no where to go. That kind of situation is a horrible one to be in for sure.

 I guess everybody is different. If it were me I would be out that door in an instant if anything similar ever happened. I don't care if it left me homeless....of course I don't think I have anything to worry about.

Hmmmm... a little fishy in the Waffle House...

But I do love their waffles!
