Going to order some wall hangers for the guit-fiddles  Need 9 ughh, but want them off the floor

At one time, the old owners had a drop ceiling in that it held.


Im going to put in a soffit around the perimeter with maybe some LED lighting and cram it full of insulation.

What kind of insulation? Those corners are very reactive to bass reflections. You should investigate some bass traps for that.

Im going to do a good detailed one for the insurance guys once I get everything done.

Will they do any good as traps up on the ceiling? I have no idea.

I have some corner cab that are going to be bass traps for the 2 rear corners.  They will be stuffed with that 703 I believe its called.

I am curious on the ceiling soffits though.  Sounds like a good idea to make them traps. Just not sure if the functionality is actually there to build them that way.  Thoughts?

Thanks Rain, yes it is but slowly.  

This is my winter room, I move it all up to the back patio area in the spring/summer and do a good cleaning on everything at that time.  Then reverse the process in the fall/winter time frame.

Kinda ridiculous but it isnt worth fighting the cold up here and the huge gas bill it takes to heat that big room.

Ha! Cool dude. I have that exact same Mackie board (with the extra mic pre module and everything). Is that what you recorded your sweet sounding acoustic guits through? I haven't had the room to set mine up with the new gear yet so I'm not sure what kind of results I'm gonna get. Cheers.
