If you hang them on the ceiling, they will be clouds. One or two of those in the playing and mixing-mastering positions couldn't hurt. You want to put lights around the perimeter in a soffit which makes sound dampening difficult. You'll have to come up with a soffit design and work on it from there. The ceiling to wall corner is a bit different from wall to wall corners. Obviously it might be hard to put lights up with the usual triangular bass traps. Light rope comes to mind, but you might want more light than that. It's something you'll have to design.

He could just mount a light fixture on the wall above his workstation or get a couple of floor lamps. No need to over think that.

I'd get my money back for that wide angle lens.
Other than that...cool, thanks for the tour!

Hmmm..., atmosphere and lighting and the effects of lighting on atmosphere in a small room for recording-performing-making music, can be the difference between a happy space and a  stressed- too hot- too bright space full of residual standing waves and..., well never mind, you get the picture. You gotta work with what you have.

No kidding on the lens.  I can never remember what way to hold them iPhones.  I guess its straight up and down as you would talk to get it to come out correct.

Thanks

Amen, Im kinda lucky down here as well.  Off of this room I have a 6x8 for Vocal Booth and a 12'x 30' connected to it as well so if we need to bring an entire band in I can.

Would have been neat to put in a sliding wall to open the area up for something like that but-NAHHHH   LOL

Not sure exactly which ones I ran through the board or direct in to be honest.

All the 5th Gear stuff was ran through it but that was in a OSB encased Barn that was like being inside a smooth hardwood box  LOL.

I seen something about using the Pres on the board instead of the MAudios because of the sound.  Ive been pleased both ways but once I get settled Im going to really check out that theory on the Pres.

Thanks Bud!!!
