I put all my albums in storage (at the wifes request) and since I
don't have table worth using....
I've been building a CD collection. This one of LZ showed up
yesterday. Very nice box set.

I'm late getting on the CD trip but I think it's paid off. Nice being
able to get complete works in one shot.

Info.

I got that box set many years ago. It's a nice set.

Don't know if you're a fan of CCR ... but the 20Bit K2 Remasters sound incredible. The only one I don't have is Cosmo's Factory ... it's going for $38 and I refuse to pay that much for it ... but the rest are around $10. Much lower than when the 20Bit Remasters were initially released.

IMO CCR's albums sound better than anything out there. I saw some pics of the studio they recorded in on TV. Can't find them on the net. It wasn't all that spectacular, and it looked like they did everything live in one take.

Link to all their 20 Bit Remasters on Amazon

I see Green River is going for $39 now, I got it for $7.99 a few years ago. All their albums are $7.99 New except for Green River and Cosmo's Factory.

I was looking at this one Bub. Read there is a mastering defect on disc 5- one
second drop out.

Thanks for the heads up...going to check the K2s out. To bad they didn't box set them-if they didn't.

You could make your own box for the CCR 20Bit K2's.

I made my own Beatles Boxed Set when I was a kid. Recorded all their albums on to cassette, and made a nice little display box out of oak for them. Heh.

LOL...incomplete one- I'm not paying that amount for them either!

I did make my own box set of The Beatles....remember the round bubble gum?
I made a little wooden crate to hold a complete collection of the bubble gum albums LOL.
Yeah...still have it. It also includes some Elvis bubble gum too lol.

Be careful with buying recently remastered versions of classic stuff. Much of it is horribly overcompressed. Sometimes the latest remaster isn't the greatest.

On my list of classics, Deep Purple comes in as the worst offender. They ruined those songs.

Led Zeppelin is ok because Page won't let anyone destroy their legacy. Same for Pink Floyd. I dug out out a bunch of Kiss records lately - the remasters seem to be ok, but their latest remix/remaster of Destroyer by Bob Ezrin is a disaster.

Oh - and congrats on the new acquisitions, Spacey! :)

Thank you Rain!
Yeah I was quite excited loading all that into my system.

The warning is well taken.

Many of my favorites I've acquired from Audio Fidelity.
I think all that I've purchased from them have sounded great.
Man and once they're discontinued I've noticed the price soars on Ebay. FWIW.

Just pre-ordered Joe Walsh- But Seriously Folks- Audio Fidelity
I wore out casettes of this when it came out...loved it.

Also jumped on ZZs new one- "La Futura".
