Yeah the Sabbath and Zeppelin catalogues were some of the first things I delved heavily into when I started playing guitar way back when. I think a Sabbath marathon is in order this weekend. Good on ya Beepster!

Incidentally, this gem was released on December 1st 1973.

Since the Shabbat begins tonight, it has to be twice as appropriate as a choice to start off a Black Sabbath marathon, right? ;)

Sounds like a good idea. My vote would go for something off Never Say Die, like Johnny Blade or Airdance, maybe Under the Sun off Vol 4, and definitely National Acrobat off SBS. Forget it...There's too many. I like them all.

Try to check that special by Rick Wakeman interviewing Tony on his show ... really nice talk and bloke, gives the whole BS thing a completely different look ... and really makes Ozzie, sometimes, look just like ... nutz!

Yep, this is a very good album, and in fact, was the first BS album I ever bought. Also got the album right after it, because it had some really nice cuts as well. I think the earlier stuff was just too over played for me, and got boring. But I could see folks not wanting to touch the SBS album, even for the cover itself.

I remeber it like it was yesterday. Volkswagen Van with painted parsley designs on the side with peace sign emblems all over it. Everyone crowded into it for Lunch Time Smoke ala Cheech and Chong wearing bell bottom blue jeans and tie-dyed t-shirts in the high school parking lot before PE anticipating the coach making fun of the hair.
