I love doodling with the iPad and garageband app, it's so easy to get ideas down.

I wonder if cakewalk would think about a lite version of something like music creator to put on the Surface!!!

I think a streamlined Sonar Mobile would be off the hook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just imagine..  64 tracks, and a special, "Mobile Edition," Pro-Channel!!!!  OMG, That would rock!  That is all you need to record bands.  And then when you want to tweak your mix, and get full on production wise..  Just drop the Cakewalk BUNDLE!!!!  Into the desktop Sonar!!

That would be awesome!

Isn't MusicCreator already Sonar Lite?

Would MC run on a surface without modification already?

Can you connect a 24 i/o sound card to a surface?

Karyn,

It will most likely not run, on the ARM chipset.  You must make sure that the tablet is running Intel Chips.

I think that if they made a simple version of MC or SONAR or whatever and made  it REALLY simple to play clips /rex in chords with a small number of good "arp" sequences or modal sequences like Garageband it would be fantastic.  I dont think we should think of this as a way of running a small band recording, leave that to a laptop with MC ro SONAR on it but just think fo when you are doodling and noodling (there is a difference...he he...noodling can only be done on a guitar but doodling can be done on a softsynth!!!...).  Anyway, back on track...it would be great to grab the Surface and knock out a simple progression...  Just think of linking something like Prochord app with a soft synth in an app...

Gee I hope they think about it.

I don't.

IK went the iOS route and 64bit plugs are still mostly a pipe dream.

I do not wish Cake to spend waste any time on trivial matters and take away from The SONAH.

Unfortunately bapu is correct...   Since IK has gone all mobile, their products have sucked..  I've spent wasted a lot of money on their older stuff, because they totally restyled their business plan..  I've tried a few of their IOS offerings and, "epic fail," to them.. imho..

IK has had blow out promotions for at least a year now, and my guess is that anyone who has any interest in their plug-ins probably own all of them.

Heck, even if you're not that interested in them, you probably still own a few of them.

So if ever they finally update those darn things, unless they charge us big time for the upgrade, I'm wondering how much is in it for them...

Personally, I own most of their stuff, and to be honest, sometimes I wish I could sell back a few. But w/ all the crazy sales and the fact that they have yet to be ported, these plug-ins have absolutely no re-sale value - especially when you factor in the license transfer cost.

And this is where Obi chimes in to tell us that the future looks so bright that we all must wear shades. ;)

Sorry Bupa...you lost me???  I don't know what you mean?  Did IK build Garageband for IPAD?  I honestly don't know?
