James: That's some good stuff too. Tough call really but I can say this...none of it has a live sound to me. It all sounds like a polished studio record...which is a GOOD thing in my opinion. However, I really would like to hear what they are getting as far as the raw performance goes.
Kev: thanks so much for that. I posted a message there....I hope Peter comes back and checks it out. Maybe he'll post a snip of what that room really sounds like so we can hear how much processing is going on. That dude really does an incredible job. It sure doesn't sound live, but man...it's the sound of greatness in my opinion. If I had to be a bit nit-picky, I'd say the only thing I would alter is the dirty guitar tones they use. Sounds a bit thin and nasaly to me...especially when T was playing some leads. But even there, it's nothing bad or annoying...just a little more sizzle than I would have allowed. He did mention the guitars were sort of a work in progress...so hey, I'm willing to accept that. :)
