What, no yellow 'helpful'  banner for Scars? Tough teacher Mr Zungle sir.

I didn't even get an honorable mention for Overkill or Twist

Come on Jason, get it sorted out mate

In the meantime, pour yourself a mug of coffee and crank up a bit of Hanger 18 and Through The Fire And Flames

Steve,

Sorry on one of my machines Google Chrome is a bit finicky with this forum,so you got caught in the gap.

Thumbs Up on the Motor Head.........for some reason they are not as beloved over here in the USA as other bands.

However I am not far from Seattle  And Seattle/NW is still very heavy rock orientated and fuels alot of creativity and hard rock diversity............especially compared to rest of the wimpy ass U.S  (note the smiley)

Thus Motor Head is legendary in my circles..............

Whats cool is that in 2006/2007? they went back into the studio and  fully  re-recorded some of their older material. The production on some of their earlier releases wasn't the best.

Your not old buddy............... your vintage.................

FWIW....  I started this thread for,all of us, You, McCue and or anyone else whom may not be "Metal" heads.

I wanted to get some material up and open or everyone to hear..............

There maybe something in one of these posts that you like, even if your not a "Metal" follower......................

I run across the occasional song I like from other genre's that I wouldn't ordinarily associate with and it feels good. I catch a glimpse of what the other folks see in their favorite genre's.

And I wanted to contribute to this forum in a positive way.

If there is one thing we all have in common  its music..........................I hope

PS.............I drink 1/2 caffinated.....1/2 decaf...........wih cream and sugar........

I don't know if I'm old or just wimpy

LOL ...vintage is good.

Zungle I listen to it all. I think that it's one thing that may have hurt
my guitar playing....I never focused on one style and wound up knowing
very little about a lot. :)

Some years back my wife had bumps appear on her breasts. Naturally
we both freaked. A visit to the doc and we learned that she had been
drinking to much coffee...?...easy fix and we were sure glad of that.

Wow

That describes me totally..........................

My roots have been electric guitar ....hard rock/metal.

But one week I'll strum my cheap acoustic and feel like I'd like to learn it more legitimately..........................then in a week I'm messing with some basic blues, then in another week I'm playing my electric drums, or maybe a simple bass tune...................on and on the circle goes............

To the average untrained listener ,I play great with a well rounded understanding of the guitar.....................

But any mid level player would recognize, I know a little bit of everything, which at the next level means, I now alot of nothing

One other note.....one of my past book keepers had the same cyst problem on her breast. She was told it was overload of caffeine so she also had to quit.

My guitar playing..such as THAT is..seems more along the line of Glenn Branca...or Caspar Brotzmann...or some such....

He he, I was only kidding with you mate.

You're right about the production of their early stuff though, truly awful. I've got their first five studio albums digitally remastered on CD and they're still really ropey.

Rather ironically, I remember their classic double live LP No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith actually sounds much better than the studio cuts of the songs on there. If you don't own it by any chance, I'd highly recommend this album to you mate. If I remember correctly, there have been two CD reissues of the album though, just make sure you get the 2CD 'Expanded' version and not the much inferior (soundwise and obviously not as many tracks) single disc version.

And now for a slice of Bomber with the classic line-up of Lemuel, Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor and 'Fast' Eddie Clarke (still the best line up IMHO).
