Here's one of the oddest thing I guess you could expect to see used for studio decoration (sorry for the poor quality):
They were overhauling a cemetery in Quebec and the workers were throwing this away. It was part of a funeral monument of some kind. My boss at the time asked if he could take it and brought it to me as a birthday gift. He knew I collected crosses and that I had a fascination for cemeteries, having practically grown up in one.
It fitted beautifully w/ the mood of the room, along w/ my little Bela Lugosi shrine. :)
Unfortunately, I had to leave it behind when I moved.
