I made a tube "pin-up" just for fun once, back when my I was learning 3d illustration and my friend Buster Makinson and I were frivolously dreaming of making a line of tube amps. I needed some practice with glass and refraction parameters so I made an imaginary tube:
When I mainetenanced my friend Pete's U47 microphone last year, I made a "pin up" photo of it as well:
