Serious_Noize!
I actually had another song posted for this thread which was another older recording, but I decided to do an entirely complete remake of it hopefully with a real singer on that version.

Anyway, I thought rather than leaving the space blank, I thought I would post a musical song I done a few years ago. I played everything one instrument at a time except for the drums which I programmed because I am not a drummer.
I have posted this before on the forums, but it's been a few years. Just thought someone might enjoy hearing it.
Honestly, I don't know if I will revisit this tune because my style has changed since I wrote and played this tune. It was a dark time for me and I had a lot of crazy thoughts when I recorded this, those days are over and I'm on to higher ground!!! LOL! I HOPE!!!

Lots of imperfections in this one, I was just learning "AS I STILL AM" how to use the software. I just started using Sonar Pro and I recorded this on Music Creator 4 at the time.

Thanks to all who listen!!!

This tune I could never figure out how or if words would work for it, and that is why it ended up just being all music. At the time since I can sing backup "But not lead" several people suggested that I start playing lead guitar where the words might go instead of trying to sing. I've learned a lot since then, and hopefully improved "NOT MAKING EXCUSES!", I'm just saying it is what it is and trying to give a better descriptive as to why and how for those who might be wondering.

Thank you for taking the time!!!!

There would appear to be some skillful playing on this Bobby but the mix sounds a little strange here.  There seems to be a general dip in the mid range, the guitar tone sounds fine but the drums and everything else sounds all a little in a small box.

Thanks Wookiee! I dunno if I will record this one or not, it was a rather dark time in my life when I did it, and I don't want to be so mad and depressed as I was when I recorded this. Although your right about the mid range listening to it now I guess. It drops at times. When I recorded this I had no idea about normalizing or limiters or compression, or that is how to do much of anything mixing wise at the time. I may re-do this one in the future/re-record it if there is enough interest.

Thank you for taking the time to comment and listen to this one, that really does mean more than you or anyone will ever know!

Some excellent playing on this Bobby, you got da chops! Nicely put together too, there's definitely a song wanting to come out.

Thanks jamesg1213.  I think maybe I should break the sounds apart "Or re-write" and add some words based on the chordal sound? Do a chorus type of song writing?

I'm torn, it is an Epitaph, or at least that's why I named it that.

LOL!!! Sorry for the drama in the reply, but I didn't know how else to answer.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply, that means everything and gives me hope that perhaps the sounds I make aren't for nothing after all.

Thanks again!!

Guitar playing top notch and well recorded. Like Wookiee said those drums do sound a little boxy, fix that and you have a nice bed for a great tune.

Thank you! When I recorded this I had no idea about drums, I honestly thought they were just beats or clicks like a click track. LOL! I've learned a lot since then, but that doesn't mean I can't learn more or that I am perfect. You are both right on the BOXY sound listening to it now.

It's really amazing at how so many people can hear every little detail on a song regardless of how loud something else is, Guitar/Bass/Etc......

Thanks again!

Uh...  the guitars called and said they want their drums back.

Having heard some of your newer material I'd say this one's due a redo.   Open those drums up (but lower the crashes), maybe some meat on the bass, and a bigger/stronger choir.   Then, maybe, the arrangement will live up to the guitar work.

LOL! Those guitars were just able enough to BEAT the drums I guess.

Thanks man! I'm thinking about starting from scratch and doing a complete re-do of this one. It is what it is for now. But that doesn't mean it has to be that.

Would you like to try and do a collaboration on this tune and add your own lines to it? You could have some fun with it, and that's what it's meant to be about in the end. Not guitar competition or nothing like that.

This is really a simple song to play honestly.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. Thanks again for listening my friend!
