aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand snortle gets a square

On my little tour of a fresh patch of earthly ridonculii today I managed to scout out a Beer Barn.
 
I was hurtin' pretty bad in the backular area (not to be confused with the Bakula area... which is a totally diffrent area altogether) and knew I had + or - x number of dollars in my account. Just enough for maybe enough beers to ease the old screeching Bakula (see what idunthere? WHAT A TWIST!).
 
In the process of trying to put ONE more beer through on my debit purchase I found myself jokingly muttering at the debit thingie and the clerk guy "Biiiig money! No Whammies!!!".
 
The clerk guy did not seem to appreciate and/or acknowledge the joke... which made me sad because it could mean one of two things.
 
I am so old that the guy who I figured was about my age was so young he did not get that reference...

I am simply unfunny... which of course is a LUDICROUS suggestion.

Well it's just that...
 
a) Wallace wasn't a peasant, he was a nobleman
b) Kilts weren't invented at that time
c) He did meet the French princess that he was supposed to have had errmm...liasons..with, but she would have been 4 years old at the time..
d) The movie shows the battle of Stirling Bridge - Gibson decided to leave out the 'bridge' part, which was the entire reason why the Scots won the battle, because the English could only get over the bridge a couple at a time
e) Wallace's army never got to England, as is shown
