It was such a relief! I owe that guy a beer...

Unfortunately, we found out today that we have to pay the doctor and the anesthesiologist up front, so the goal for the down payment has moved to 6,469.00.

But...I cannot complain. Less than a week ago I felt like I had zero options, and now I have a good chunk covered, and still ten days to go. I have my hope back, which is something I had lost.

Did anyone try to use PayPal in IndieGogo? I tried several times with Firefox and Firefox/IE Tab but it did not work.

Panup - it worked for me. Using Safari, though.

yes, it worked for me using IE 9.

I was able to get a 25% discount off the top, and a 25% discount from the doctor. The totals I've posted are after the discount.
