It's been raining, raining, raining here.
The split firewood I piled under a shelter two months ago (it wasn't properly dry yet) are growing mould, and the ones that were already dry are so moist they need to dry indoors for a few days before they're good for burning.
Crisp autumn days are great. Mushroom picking is good therapy. This autumn we've had only a few nice days . Winter would be OK, too, if I only had the chance to enjoy it. Going to work when it's dark and coming home in equal darkness leaves you only the negative sides of winter: Uncomfortable driving conditions and shoveling snow in the evening. And of course the heating costs.
In about a month the sun will set in northern Finland to rise again in February.
