While the Melda gui looks like something that was designed in the Eastern block circa 1967 to navigate Sputnik, the plugins really do sound good.  Years ago I found the installation/activation mystifying, but these days I find it quick and painless.

 I'm a fan of their GUIs.  No eye candy which means they are meant to perform instead of looking good and universal on their plugins.

I think Melda would do better, marketing wise, if they redid their sound demos. Most are lackluster if not just terrible and fail to show what their plugins are really capable of.
Easiest way would be to have a contest to see who could come up with best demo examples and give the winner that plugin or a credit they could use on purchase.
