Beep, you are a reasonable and well written fellah.  It will all sort itself out. Craptastic about the apartment, though.

Theres a few of us here for the same thing Beep, Im one of 'em that took on Sonar just for that reason

Gave me a little meaning back in life instead of being cooped up in the house and useless for quite some time.  Bout the time I got things gathered up and figured out I was able to get back out a little bit and found a band to keep busy with.  Nice bunch of people (Mostly a very large family)

So its a great thing to have and be involved in for me too.

Best of luck to ya on your search for a place

Thanks, man. I'm glad you got back into the swing of things. That's right where I'm at now. I sure won't be as active as I used to be but just being able to get out and do even mundane stuff will do a lot for my current mindset. I sure do miss my bands. After playing with other people religiously for over a decade to not doing anything is quite the adjustment.

I was just checking out your soundcloud stuff. Sounds good. That girl has a lovely voice and I'm assuming that's you singing on the country track further down the page. Perfect for the style. Cheers and thanks for the encouragement. I was just a little frustrated yesterday. You know how it goes.

Some pretty nice guitar work too. After I finish up this metal track I'll be shifting gears entirely and focusing on my acoustic stuff. I'd like to get it nice and crisp like you've done on those tracks. I think it's gonna be a bit of a challenge considering my lack of quality mics. We'll see. Cheers!

From what I understand prices are up all over. I watch that show my wife really likes on HGTV where they are buying homes, or sometimes renting....and I can not believe the prices in some of those places.

I think to myself if I had to live there, I'd be the guy in the cardboard box with plastic over it.....

I have always liked the smaller towns and especially out in the country a ways. I have found some real bargains when I used to rent....and then I found a diamond in the rust when I found this house I own. You probably won't find many good deals in the big cities...... but good luck.

If you have any thoughts of buying a home, check with the banks for "bank owned" properties. The banks are tighter than Richards hatband if you try to buy a home off the market. They will want sterling credit and a large downpayment, however... if they have a house sitting on their books, they want it sold and will make a deal. You might be surprised and you never know until you try. You might find a heck of a deal on a fixer upper that the bank wants GONE.
I wont go into details but I can tell you that I have done things that looked to be absolutely impossible, things that seemed even foolish to think about... just by giving it a try.
Good saling to you.

+1 Herb.

They never have anything close to normal housing. I don't know how anyone lives in some of those places like Toronto or California. They show these small sorta dumpy looking homes that are jammed up against the next house then say that the price is 500k, I'm like WHAT? Either that or it is some palatial estate.
The prices around here are great for the buyer. I shoud have started a "Duck call" business... but it is what it is.

I have heard that the City of Detroit...or was it Cincinnati (?) are selling houses for ONE DOLLAR to anyone who is willing to move in and fix them up and live there....

I think the problem is... they are located in areas where most folks don't want to live..... hence the empty houses to start with....

But just wanted to let you know about the super deals in those towns.   After watching Hardcore Pawn Shop.... I don't think I'd want to live there.

You have to keep looking where apartments are concerned. There are some horrible, overpriced ones in every city you look, but also some rare bargains. I have a renovated studio in the East Village for $950/month which is virtually unheard of in Manhattan, especially downtown. Just got lucky I suppose. By rights I should be paying at least $2000.

What?!! Man, I've got to get in touch w/ your real estate agent. ;)

We like Las Vegas, but, man, we do miss NY and East Village.
