Well the track ball sounds nice but heres my thing on them,

How are they when you are doing a lot of lassoing, slip editing, drag & drops, and that king of thing?

I can see where they would be a little more pain to deal with on that side.

Mike - I do TONS of midi editing and stuff - seriously, much less tiring than a mouse - I love mine

They are WAY better, Mike. Much more precise just like with everything else. It does take a little getting used to but once you've got it in your routine it's much more intuitive.

I have a couple of the older-style Expert Mouse trackballs like Beepster linked to.  They were the secret weapon when I was gaming to pwning punk kids half our age.  I still use them on the rare occasion I get the chance to play any games, but my usual is this one:



I never use a "normal" mouse and I never get carpal tunnel either - not a coincidence I believe!
