Anyone know if there is a way to convert Apple *.caf files to *.wav files, 
while maintaining the tempo (acid/groove loops format) info ?

I can convert them to wav but they lose their tempo info.
a batch method is preferred of course:)

Faasoft's "Audio Converter" is probably one of the best commercial choices though. I've been using it for a while now.

Timothy , I saw something in the app store called Easy CAF Converter for Logic Pro …so after downloading it 
it didn't even open  
I knew it was too good to be true for 5 bucks ….so I e mailed emmm and I'm still waiting to hear back 
 
a while back , I tried the I Deal share and it wasn't bad , if you want to grab samples out of the converted files 
the problem was  the CAF loops once converted didn't line up perfectly at all….
they had a little space in the beginning and when it was trimmed the loop didn't work the way it should have 
even after groove clipping them 
what are you trying to do anyway ?
are you trying to batch convert a bunch of Jam Packs and CAF files so you can use them in SONAR ….
I know of a couple of work arounds for getting them into SONAR , but I have no clue as to converting the CAFs over in bulk / batched converted where they will perform as they did in GB or Logic

The OP was from 2010. I think at that time I was trying to access the loops in Garage Band for use in Sonar.  I was just hmmm-ing cause the only responses I got in 4 years were from 1 post wonders.. 
 
I don’t really need/want a solution at this point.

Regarding your comment that the app abnormally crashes during launching, I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
 
Several users who bought this app informed me of that app crash issue.
 
Fortunately, the issue was resolved at the update version (v1.0.3), and now you can easily convert Apple Loops installed with Logic Pro.
