I've just started wearing glasses again after 20 years with contact lenses. I figured having 4 eyes would be a novelty for a while. Quite enjoying it, BUT....

Why didn't someone tell me about the danger of whipping headphones off too quickly when you're wearing specs? Why, I had no idea the dashed things would come off as well. It's a good job I have lightening quick reactions otherwise I'd probably be $500 in the hole tonight.

You only make that sort of mistake once

LOL - I just started needing to wear reading glasses this last year so glad to hear I'm not the only one having can vs specs issues!

Had no less than 4 X2 hang-ups last night requiring less than graceful shut downs.  Many of these caused by loading older projects than run just fine in 8.5.  For some reason if X2 can't find a plugin it hangs on the error message leaving no option but the 3-finger salute.  Twice I lost my glasses when pulling off the phones...  And my presonus faderport plugged in prevents it even loading.

This weekend is time for a complete uninstall, regedit clear out and re-install.  I don't think it's an X2 thing, more the fact of several legacy versions and duff plugins kicking about.

I tried contacts.

Almost got myself kilt.
I was cruisin the backwoods in my old restored '72 Ford
and the next thing I know the contacts blew out and I couldn't see.

Then I had to find them so I could get home. I did and glad I had
the eyedrops to clean them.

That happened about the middle of a two week trial run. I'll stay with glasses.

My problem is my cans push my ear (putting pressure on the frame/ear) which start to hurt after awhile (maybe 45 min or so) and I have to readjust the frame........not much of a biggie, but still present.

BTW Michael, I also have the Ultrasone 750's.......and love em.

I know why! They beat everything I've ever tried and that has been quite a few.
I love the comfort but really love that I can wear them a very long time and there
is just no bad effect. No discomfort from wearing them and especially that I have
no reason to think I've damaged my hearing. Their claim to fame with how they
direct the sound seems very valid to me. The sound? To each their own but I'm fine with mine.
If they ever give it up I'll stick with Ultrasones.

If you have good headphones that have one cable to the left can, take your phones in a motion that's toward the back of your head and upward so that won't happen.  If you have the cheaper phones where there a wire going to each can, that wire acts like a noose.  You just have to be careful when you slowly take them off in a forward motion.

I read quite a bit about them and I'm also very happy with the sound quality. My only nit would be that I get a little H-phone bleed when tracking vocals, but it's definitely not game stopper. Have you also noticed a little bleed?

At my age I try to never rip anything off... I sometimes rip one but that is another story...

I also try never to make a spectacle of myself while wearing phones.

No because everything is direct in. When Jeff was doing vocal parts he recorded only a few
at my house and he used some AKG IIRC and I noticed he kept his hands around them and
seemed to be pressing on them. But no bleed issues. All the other vocal parts he did at his home
and I don't know what or how he recorded them.
