Mike I had to get Adobe Reader so I could read a receipt I was emailed...
Doing so I saw where it was downloading Chrome and Google search bar too.

Now that tested me. Matter of fact it bummed me out so bad that I don't care
what Chrome or Googlle bar is good for or not. I wasn't asked and then had to
hassle with trying to stop them, which I couldn't stop Chrome.

No matter how I look at it that is just low down and dirty. I'll never use either one
just because of that.

hmm... It seems the newest fanciest version of IE Tab supports AdBlock plus but doesn't say anything about NoScript. I was hoping that it wasn't actually IE but an IE emulator but it sounds like it just opens IE in FF somehow. Anyone know more about this?

ie tab works very well in the latest FF as well. Set it as the default for cakewalk.com and any other sites that don't work very well in FF and all bases are covered.

I said TEST.

is no one paying attention.

Karl I use that exact same setup thanks to you.

At least one person then is paying attention.

I figured if IE9 is sat on my system anyway it may as well earn it's keep.

I somehow like the idea of IE being Firefox's beeyatch.

I stuck with an early FF (V5) as long as I could but started getting issues with flash on other sites. Then I tried Chrome but couldn't link properly with it, which I can't using IE tab either but I just prefer FF to Chrome. I link using the [] method. That works pretty well for me.

As annoying as this site is I find other sites don't play well with FF, others don't like IE. I don't think there is a one size fits all browser is there?

Funny, but Chrome has not given me any trouble anywhere I go. YMMV.

I used Netscape until AOL tanked it.

now I just use IE except for ONE website that doesn't work correctly in IE and for soundcloud I use chrome.  most of soundcloud works OK except when I try to change the song order of a set and it doesn't work in IE9 but in chrome it does.

They hide the TOS agreement for accepting those downloads and disguise them in a shady way.

I always look at the dialog boxes before clicking next.

You can usually go into add/removes programs and remove the tool bar, etc.

I have to agree the sneaky way they try to slip Chrome in with every darned program and even some device drivers these days is obnoxious. I make sure to check every page that pops up during installs to avoid that but I've been doing that since I accidentally added the Ask.com toolbar years ago. Frak was that thing ever annoying and a pain to get rid of. Bing is another one that steams my clams.

Wasn't an operational oversight. I clicked download for Adobe Reader and it automatically started
downloading all three programs.
The only one that I could stop downloading was the Google toolbar.

Of course one can make changes after the fact. It made me do that.

Netscape ... now there's a word I haven't seen in a very long time.

It was the Chrome of it's day. That sucker was on every shareware floppy, every download, every site you could imagine.
