Likewise....
I just know there's a mic out there in your price range with your name written on it so keep us informed weed hopper.

If you truly need the qualities that a condenser microphone offers (sensitivity, omni options, wide frequency response), then you need to invest in a good one. There are a number adequate condensers around for $100 (AT-2020 comes to mind), but they are just that - adequate - and you'd be better off with a good dynamic mic.

I know it can't be this simple but this MXL 3000 seems to be getting quite a bit of praise... http://www.musiciansfrien...3000-mic-bundle#review Anyone own or tried this mic?

I hear ya, bit but I just want something better than my Samson C01's. All my dynamic mics just don't have that clarity I'm looking for. I also have a one of those Blue Ball powered dynamic mics which is cool but it's kind of distant sounding for vocals. The C01's are ALMOST where I want them but they have this weird almost phasing quality to them. Like I'm singing into a little tiny high speed fan or something. It actually sounds kind of cool but obviously is unwanted for a traditional vocal track. I'll check out that 2020 too. Cheers.

Beep, I used to have an MXL9000, and for my voice, it was kinda brittle. I bought my husband an AT2050 to mic his acoustic guitar, and stole it for myself.  It isn't the best thing out there, but for the price, it's been pretty damn good.  I imagine the 2020 would give you a nice sound as well.  Good call, Bit.

Thanks, Jules. I've heard some of your CHC work so that's actually very helpful. That's the kind of clarity I'd like. You've got a great voice BTW.

Whoa... that 2020 is only $70. I could probably afford that right now and save up for the 2050. Sweet. I love this place. :-)
