Winters coming and gonna get uglier outside.

Already fired up the furnace here today (was thinking more to clean it up, check it out and burn the crud from summer of the AC Coils) WHICH ALWAYS STINKS UP THE HOUSE   
But ended up keeping it on cause it was low 40s outside

My thermostat is set the same all year.  Last couple of nights in a row the heater has kicked in.
 
Yup, the downturn has begun.

Yup...I like cold weather but I like it better when it snows..... 

I don't like the gas bills that go with it though...

lol, offnote.
When that "cold front" moved through here last week and took the temp down to 80, I had to laugh.
After spending most of my life in Colorado, that just seemed so wrong.

Robert-I spent 25 of the last 30 year in Central Arkansas-Loved it for outdoors but I sure dont miss hiding from the heat and the huge electric bills-Now Its huge Gas bills

plenty of the white stuff here too Mike - we live 1 mile from Lake Ontario - that lake effect snow can get pretty crazy

We get hammered by it too.  I think if its gonna be cold and snow-Let it come down big time. Dont mess around
