It is a sad indicator of this forum of late.

There was a time when a principal of audio engineering would have been recieved and discussed with some interest in the subject at hand.

Maybe you could all reflect a bit on your conduct.  I don't need too of course as I am an exemplar of how one should conduct themselves on a peer to peer forum.

I guess we all get the internet we want.

Seems a bit of a shame.

;-)

Best regards

I shall from hence forth, call you McBouyQ,

I am :) you guys kill me. I'm starting to really enjoy the sound of a dulcimer, I would like to hear it in a Blues tune but I don't think anyone is crazy enough to do that..

This is just the beginning.

I've been discussing with an old friend of mine the idea of a hybrid hang drum and hammered dulcimer.

It came about after talking with a group of old Nashville cats that I'm acquainted with who know about the sweetened tunings passed down the line, the concept involves a quality bicycle wheel laid flat with a parabolic acoustic reflector underneath (similar to a trash can lid).  The wheel is then played with the dulcimer hammers.

We've got a spokesperson in who assures us he can introduce a graduated tension on each of the spokes which will solve any intonation issues we may run into.

We've been running tests in my music room and my modded right-angle SM-57 seems to be bringing out the good stuff.

Let the games begin.

Good times.

Grant, try the hammered dulcimer in DimPro.
It's pretty workable.
