I'd be tickled pink if they'd just update X1...and offer THAT free.
Well howdy neighbor! :)

Long time no see!

Notice anything Peculiar about me (besides the ax in my head LOL!)

@bub... It's all very strange and I'm quite thankful my Sonar pains seem to have been very minimal compared to others. Like I said in that very thread, I may seem like a happy go lucky guy and I've certainly learned to be patient with age but if the software was screwing around as much as it seems to do with others I'd be furious. I mean a lot of the times there are obvious system flaws and user errors but some guys... their systems are fine, they know what they're doing and it's like they just can't seem to get things working. I guess I should just thank the DAW gods I'm one of the fortunate ones. It's been a real struggle as it is without random things screwing up on me. IDK... maybe all my research and harassing the forum for info has something to do with it. I also had a ridiculously smart person help me build my system (from afar) but as soon as it started getting into the DAW config stuff I was on my own because that's not their bag. Oh well. I just wish it would work for people as well as it does for me. It sounds like you and the hatchet have been through a nightmare.

I mean it's got its quirks and all but it's been running pretty smoothly here and I don't even know what the heck I'm doing. I just... don't get it. :-/

Um. I'm at a loss for words.

@ Bub---hey neighbor!  I noticed somewhere that you'd moved...didn't realize it was so close.  Welcome to MO.  It sure got cold suddenly, didn't it?  lol

It sure did!

My little digital outdoor thermometer thingy says it's 43 here at the moment.

I'm sure looking forward to those 'milder' winters down here that everyone keeps telling me about. :)

@timidi... Sorry, man. That's not any kind of comment towards you or anyone really. I'm truly befuddled as to why it works for some and not others... especially in your case because our systems are so similar. I'm quite curious to see if those BIOS updates help. I seriously thank whatever cosmic beings are allowing my rig to function as well as it has.

Bub...I can't remember where you came from, but I hear they're predicting another mild winter this year.  I just hope it hasn't already begun because fall's usually gorgeous around here.  43 isn't even near gorgeous...unless it's January or February!  :)

We lived in Iowa ... middle of the state. Not unusual for dead of winter temps to get to -10 ~ -20. But it was a dryer cold than when I lived in NJ. I'll take -20 with low humidity any day over 30 with high like I used to endure back in New Jersey.

We are surrounded by woods on two sides at our new place, can't wait for the leaves to turn. We had no trees to speak of in Iowa. Too flat and windy. :)

Yeah, I imagine it will be warmer than Iowa.  And yes, definitely more trees.  Being an OK gal, I still can't figure out why anyone needs so many of 'em.  :)  (but I don't miss the wind!!)
