JB, it's basically this: each vox instance has three tracks... NO fx at all straight up the middle, flanked by a slightly tweaked and panned combinator patch on either side, one side panned slightly left, one slightly right. The dry track is mixed the highest. This gives me better control over the clarity--- I can raise the dry channel so it doesn't drown in the verb, but the verb presence is still there. For the chorus, it's a different combinator that I've tweaked and saved... One I've named Beth, after Beth Gibbons of Portishead. I use it all the time, tweaking the Resonance and delay to match a song (this one has no delay). Want me to email it to you?
All told, there are actually twelve vox tracks on this one, but I only recorded two.
I WISH I could get ReWire happening... I can slave it all as ONE track, or try to slave it to all tracks and get nothing. I still don't know what I'm doing wrong there, but it IS forcing me to learn new tricks, which is probably better in the long run, anyway.
HA Wook... MS MusicMaker.... ;)
