GOTTA LOVE SWEETWATER!!!  Thats where I get all my stuff, but then it helps its just a short trip too  LOL

The ONLY reason I didn't get it from Sweetwater was because they told me they didn't get boxes from Cakewalk anymore and everything they got came in shrink wrap with a stiff piece of cardboard so the DVD's wouldn't get flexed and broke.

I figured if I wasn't going to get a box, I might as well just download it.

I'm happy for you! And at the same time I feel like I was lied to and ripped off by Cakewalk for being asked to pay $30 for a box that they give away to everyone else in the world. It's not right now matter how they try to spin it ...

I wondered about it when you said it cause all of my other software I've gotten from them came boxed, but thought they must have changed distribution this time based on what they told you.

oh well...

They told me it was only Cakewalk that did the no box thing, and the sales rep didn't even know about it until I got my shipment and it was just a shrink wrapped piece of cardboard with a couple DVD's thrown in and I called back to complain. He had to make some calls and get back to me.

It leaves you feeling like you got lied to and screwed over.

Now I'm wondering, who the hell got my box when I ordered X1 from Sweetwater, know what I mean? Did the guys in the warehouse keep them and sell on eBay or something? Or did they download it and want the box, so they swiped some?

Oh well. What ya gonna do.

It could be worse, I could have got the box and no CD's. Or maybe that would have been better with X1 on my system.
