If you are asking my advice, I'd avoid starting arguments and fostering the worst sort of petty disagreements while acting as if you think you are humorous.

You certainly shouldn't expect to dare some body to go listen to your music while boasting of your ability to hear when stuff is in tune without a recourse, and you shouldn't needle guys with half witted jokes because they are honest enough to freely admit that playing in tune is not as easy as some would make it out to be, and not expect an honest reply.

You shouldn't fuel a simple difference in opinion in to a polarized and meaningless argument by offering insulting one liners unless you actually want somebody to point out the obvious as retort.

If you are actually asking... that's my advice.

Acting like a petty child about it will probably not make you feel any better... or maybe it will.

It's really up to you.

Did you write this pile of horse cack while looking in the mirror?

For a start, Karl is one of the most knowledgeable and friendly people who frequents these boards. Regardless of his excellent X2 video, he is always approachable and never fails to go out of his way to help anyone if he can.

And from what I can ascertain, he's as straight as a die and a pretty down to earth sort of chap.

He's also got a wonderful quality sadly missing from your character Mike - it's called humility. As well as an amiable nature that is comfortable to display a little self-deprecating humour - the ability to laugh at oneself once in a while. Contrast that to the way you faff about the place displaying a superiority complex so huge it's only eclipsed by your ego and the self-delusion you have in your own rather mediocre abilities.

Sorry to say it Mike, but the only faculties you seem to show any real proficiency in are passing out snidey and sarcastic comments at any opportunity in a desperate attempt to garner some attention and make yourself appear far more informed that you obviously are. And when somebody calls you out on it, you resort to the classic symptoms of a passive/aggressive bully, and try to portray yourself as the victim.

Before all this nonsense regarding X1, I used to really respect you Mike. Your opinions on various subjects were something I willingly sought out - remember when I asked you to take a look at those photographs I took on my visit to meet up with Ed and Jon a couple of years ago?

But you seem to have let your obvious distaste with the way Cakewalk are developing their product take over your whole character; it's like you've got something gnawing away inside you, but you've abandoned any recourse to sensible discussion on the matter and all that's left is a massive chip on your shoulder coupled with a constant and increasingly tedious stream of cheap shots and innuendo.

Frankly Mike, you've turned into a pompous, pretentious, arrogant bore.

And you used to be so much better than that.

That's unbelievable!!!

I remember when something like that happened in Winter Park and I have stumbled on very small and shallow (20' deep), fresh new vertical chutes while bush whacking out here in the woods...

...but the aerial view of that thing is simply astonishing.

Could/did anyone possibly survive that?

best regards,
mike

Cherokee looks right. I've also been all down in here: http://www.georgiaoutdoors.com/hiking_climbing/cave_climax_Caverns.asp

and to the bottom of this: http://books.google.com/books?id=moE21NhfMoYC&pg=PA26&lpg=PA26&dq=devil's+hopper+cave&source=bl&ots=CpggpxVfeA&sig=INY_d9Yb2f1Vu3YLosQ-3Vv9R0Q&hl=en&sa=X&ei=VR9qUL62FuPq2QX8j4CABQ&ved=0CCAQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=devil's%20hopper%20cave&f=true

There was no river down there. I had to squeeze through a really tight passage, I weighed about 120 pounds and it was really tight for me. When I got through there were sheets of "dogtooth" cacium crystals, of course I have some samples. Anyway, there was a huge underground lake down there. Thankfully it didn't go nuts of start flowing. My buddy fell down fromthe top into the opening, we has fingertip grips trying to climb out and couldn't hold on... we were invincable though. He didn't get hurt but I wasn't sure he was going to get out for a while there. IIRC, I got an old log and tipped it into the opening. Of course the only thing we had were a couple of flashlights and some weed.

Wow, I've heard of Climax and heard it was super but I was totally unaware of the Devils Hopper in Quitman. I've been in that area many times it's just up the road.

Now I gotta go back!!!

Thanks a bunch!

best regards,
mike

Ho, you don't want to go in there. It is for the young and foolish. Trust me.

Dear Jim, I've heard you can fix it for me to go on holiday with a girl in my class.
