The Maillard Reaction

I've finally started doing it on a regular basis.

I finally started "unsubscribing" to every promotional email service which seems to have volunteered me as a subscriber.

It's reduced the amount of junk mail I get by a huge amount.

I used to be too lazy, now I have learned that taking the time to unsubscribe is easier than routinely throwing out gobs of email every day.

Yeah!!!

mike

Roight!!

No junk email here...even my spam folder has nothing in it...all I ever got were Mushi Bello or Richard Zongo things anyways....

Mail in general had gotten crazy. I recently reformatted my internet
PC and started over.
I didn't save anything but addresses.

Pictures had gotten the same way...a total mess. I just loaded them all
on thumb drive...they're there if I ever want one.

Now I'm trying to stay organized. I had done the unsubscribe thing a long
time back so now it's like habbit if one makes it in.

Been awhile since that PC was cleaned...it's nice now.

I also installed System Mechanic Professional- I liked it so much I installed it
in all the computers.

The nice thing is that once you filter out the semi legit SPAM, you can easily spot the actual bad guy emails easily.

I just got a phishing email about my "Citi Card" statement and balance due.

I don't have a Citi Card.

Yeah... I have to do that too...and I'm probably over due for going in and unsubscribing to a bunch of them.....

My daughter uses a "spam" only email address to reply to things she is interested in and has a "private" address for friends.

I jumped on the same wagon. Entering sweepstakes which all want your email or inquiries into products turn into a weekly or daily email. If I let a few days go by I've racked up hundreds. I once had a second email account that I ferried all of that stuff into but it was overloaded and they deleted my account.

I have been making good use of the select and delete all buttons on my email client. I hate to eliminate all of them, you never know when that Musicians Friend/Sam Ash/ Sweetwater ad might have something tasty to look at or that software advertisement for a new plug-in....

What really gets me is when I get overly delete happy and for a fraction of a second I read an email title that I wanted to save but my finger already hit the delete button.I hate when that happens.
