Indeed, Jan did... After I mentioned him (and I was just joking-- these guys know that I don't actually need a white knight). Should have made sure I added a wink face.  Was teasing, boys!

I knew you were.  I'd have jumped in sooner if I thought it was anything other than kidding around.  Still happy to do it though.

I'm a little on the defensive in the wake of the Jesse Samler incident.  Forgive me.

And that other... person.

I know how easy it is to miss a post. Just wanted to mention Old's contribution in case you missed his post.
Time for a Bayoubill honorable mention, too.

Jesse who?

That's a very good question.  Jesse was a member a who had essentially assumed a character from a TV show called Once And Again (I found out about the TV show just now as I was trying to compose this reply.)  Jesse posted about some personal and social issues that several CH members tried to assist with.  I don't know if it was intentional his part, but essentially we got punk'd.  Some of us took him seriously and tried to help and it turned out that a lot of what Jesse talking about was probably a joke.  It may have started off as a gag and got out of hand.  Jesse (the character's/member's) gender was ambiguous--if not misrepresented.  The name paired with an avatar of actress Evan Rachel Wood caused most of that.  It's why the him/her debate persists.

I hope that helps a little.  At this time of the morning, I'm sure I can explain a little better after the caffeine takes effect.

you're being extremely generous.  More so than I would have if I had explained it.

I found some of "his" posts on other forums (just google) and he played the same game over there also. I dont think it was all a joke, from the other posts I feel "he/she" had issues...
