Hi and thank you all for your feedback!
Dan,Thanks! I've tried to make some time for practicing (...it's never too late), and get as much as possible right in the recording phase. The title of the tune was my deadline to finish the mix.
Beagle,Thank you ! ...glad you liked it!
For the Rhodes I used the EZ Keys E-Piano, actually just typing in the single chords at the downbeats and accents before recording any guitars as a reference for intonation. The little licks and runs I played as overdubs. In the middle bit I doubled the part with my all time favorite Lounge Lizard.
Tom,Thanks a lot!
yeah, some guitar licks just fall out the fingers without thinking and some really need practice. I think non-repetitive improvisation is one of the hardest tasks in guitar playing. ...There is still a lot to learn for me.
B.t.w., the guitar amps are all S-Gear by Scruffham Amps... (impulse respond speaker sim makes a difference. Next best to a real miced (miked ..?) cabinet i.m.o.)
Bjorn,Thank you for taking the time to listen, and the compliment!
I just looked up "Evening Star" by Robert Fripp and found it on soundcloud. The intro has kind of the same ambience, indeed. : ) ...I've never heard that tune before, though.
Phil,Thank you so much for the compliment!
daryl,Thank you very much! It is highly appreciated : )
Schafe, Thank you ! This is very encouraging : )
biodiode,Thnx! ...since this is the only guitar I'm playing, I keep trying to squeeze the best out of it that I am able to : )
Once again, thank you very much gentlemen, for all that positive feedback ! You gave me hope!
Best regards,
Daniel
